Self Defense Instructions And Psychological Aspects

This is another article for the series of free online self defense instructions. Here we will study some psychological aspects of self defense.

        Everything we do in our daily routine is what we perceive the things from our surroundings. When we talk about self-defense, the first and most important thing is our mental condition. What mentally we are fit and active then we will surely able to do our self-defense more comfortably. Self-defense is your capability to defend yourself when an attacker attacks you in the middle of the street, market or even in your house. When you have the skill and ability to cope with the situation then it means you have the guts to do your self-defense. Acknowledgement of own abilities and self-perception is the first step towards self-defense.



        Many schools are there to train you martial arts that can be quite handy for your self-defense. But it is an open fact that without the readiness of psychological and emotional state you cannot even kick the attacker. You cannot only rely on the training given by the martial arts school. Even keeping the safety weapons in your pocket or purse or learning self-defense techniques cannot guarantee you that you have accurate self-defense. The basic thing is your self-confidence, as far as your have confident in your abilities you can do your self-defense quite vigilantly.

                      Most of the self-defense training is given in artificial environment where the opponent is not a real attacker. So your real test is when you actually get into the real situation. This is the time when it is quite difficult to handle your opponent and your nerves are tested here. So it is obvious to learn self-awareness and acknowledging your abilities with the training for self-defense. Because clear concepts and self-reliance, will work wisely at the time when action is needed.
